In New York there is a Nail Salon on every corner, and every evening they are completely full with guests. Since I was totally amazed about the beautiful nails of Nikki Jay, who also goes and gets her well deserved manicure every 3 week, the studio invited me today.. for the first manicure of my life. It was very nice, even though my fingers are like how they before, so 10 currywurste, my nails are amazing now (too bad I did all the dishes tonight) so this part was great.
What I didnt like was this weird situation of me, the "rich" white chick sitting there, and letting the poor korean woman manicuring her nails. It was not a nice feeling, I felt bad about it. Specially after I heard that the only money they get from the company is the tip, and nothing else.
So if you are in NY, and want to have your nails done, be generous.
